The Drake curse didn’t strike again this time, as his huge bet on the Kansas City Chiefs to take home the Super Bowl game through, and he’s now more than $1 million richer than he was yesterday thanks to his winnings.
Drake had Kansas City Chiefs fans in fear when he showed his $1.15 million Bitcoin bet off to the world. Although he knows what he’s doing in music, it seems like most sporting teams (or people) he supports lose, but if there was one person and team to break the curse, it was Travis Kelce and the Chiefs. The singer took to his Instagram story to celebrate the win, and here’s what went down…

Drake celebrates Super Bowl win
He knew he shouldn’t bet against the Swifites, and he was totally right, as the Kansas City Chiefs came through in a nail-biting overtime win.
Before the game, the Marvins Room singer posted a screenshot of his $1.15 million Super Bowl bet to his Instagram story, alongside the caption: “If I win someone getting super blessed at the show tomorrow.”
The singer is known for being generous towards his fans on tour, and last year, he gifted one lucky concertgoer a $30k Birkin Bag. Most recently, he gifted a fan $100k, who had a sign saying “Just finished chemo,” at the gig.
Well, we now know Drake did in fact win his bet, and he’ll be continuing his It’s All A Blur – Big As The What? Tour alongside J Cole tonight in St. Louis, MO, so one lucky fan will be in for a treat.
That’s not the only way the 37-year-old was celebrating his big win. After the game, he posted a vid to his stories, showing off a plate that had been broken. Although we didn’t see this on camera, we can imagine the ‘jumping up and down’ from the win may have caused this.
Friends can then be heard saying, “We won a million dollars!” in the background. After placing $1.15 million on the bet, it was estimated his payout would be $2.346 million, gaining $1.196 million in profit.
Drake said he ‘rates’ Taylor Swift in hit song

In November 2023, the God’s Plan rapper released Scary Hours 3 with six new tunes, including Red Button, in which he raps about Taylor Swift. However, it’s not a diss.
“Taylor Swift the only n***** that I ever rated / Only one could make me drop the album just a little later,” he raps. In the lyric, he acknowledges his strategic decision to not release music at the same time as her, to make sure he’s not directly competing.
This seems fair, as we’re sure no one wants to be competing with Swift at the moment, as she just keeps on getting stronger.
Last week, she won Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards for a record-breaking fourth time. With that, and Travis winning the Super Bowl within one week of each other, it doesn’t look like anyone will be able to compete with this powerhouse celeb couple anytime soon!
